What we hold, and why.
Written to be read rather than skipped. Everything we hold is listed below, with why we hold it, for how long, and how to have it removed.
Your message passes through services we use to run this site. Each sees only what it needs to:
- Our hosting provider, which serves the pages you are reading;
- Our email provider, which delivers the message to our inbox and holds it there.
Some of these operate servers in other countries. We share nothing with anyone else unless the law requires it.
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you;
- correct anything wrong;
- delete it, where no law requires us to keep it;
- send you a copy of it.
We answer within thirty days. There is no charge.
The site is served over an encrypted connection. Messages reach an inbox protected by two-factor authentication. We take reasonable technical measures, and no one can promise perfect security.
This policy covers this website. When we build a system for a client, any personal data inside it belongs to the client. We process it only to carry out the work, only on their instructions, and control of it passes to them on delivery. That relationship is governed by the signed service agreement, not by this page.
This site is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen. If you believe a child has sent us something, write to us and we will delete it.
